Anyone had any experience with this program from Ahead? I can't seem to find much about it on the net. All the pages I find are in Russian or Asian...

Hmmm... not one frigging opinion. Funny, folks around here are generally so opinionated...
Let me describe my own experience then.
It's very easy to use, but at the same time somewhat limited in its flexibility. It works in several steps.
Step 1: Start
Her you can open a previous project, start a new project (VCD, SVCD, or DVD).
Step 2: Add clips
Here you can add your clips you want on the disc. You can also set entrypoints for each clip. It has a feature that will scan your clip and look for chapters automatically. You can set tolerance levels and minimum chapter lengths to look for during the scan, though I had some trouble changing this. You can also name each entry point here (used as menu item text in Step 3 below).
Step 3: Menu
Here you're presented with a canned set of menu layouts. You can change text for the menu (header), the titles under each thumbnail is set up in step 1 (if you want to - defaults to Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc.). You can't make your own menus and add text/images/etc. You're limited to what they give you. You can change button images, but only all of them on your menu, not one or two if you were so inclined. A few other minor attributes of the menu can be changed here.
Step 4: Preview
On screen remote lets you preview your presentation.
Step 5: Burn
Burn presentation to disc or image.
I only played around with the VCD features, so the above might be slightly different for SVCD or DVD. I'm a bigger fan of DVD Workshop, from Ulead, but I do admire NeroVision Express' ease of use. I think it's targeted at the user who doesn't have many demands for customising of menus and disc navigation./\/\ars /\/\ayhem -
Well I was very interested to read your post about and description of Nerovision. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences.
A little disappointed, though. It seems as if the only addtion to "regular" Nero is the ability to add real chapters. Granted a welcome and much needed addition, but there are other ways of doing this...
Tell us, does NeroVision allow creating animated buttons, menus, a lá VideoPack in any of its canned menu formats? That's impressive and not so easy to do otherwise. It doesn't sound like it does.
And also, where were you able to obtain a copy of the program? Ahead's site says it's not ready yet. Curious. -
Someone posted it in alt.binaries.multimedia.utilities.
Nope, no animated anything.
It's not particularly great for much. I use DVD Workshop mostly now. It's menu building features are great. Too bad it doesn't make real chapters for VCD - it doesn't let you navigate Next/Prev once the clip is playing./\/\ars /\/\ayhem
