hi boys I try to convert avi movie to mpeg movie but whrt the conversion is in 94% a window appears and says this:
"Illegal floating decimal point calculation order"
and not finish encode.
can I do something ????

is quite a common problem but can be sorted quite easily.the file will be saved on your hard drive up to where the problem occured,simply open it and see how far in time it has gotto,then load the full file back into tmpgenc and use the "source range" to fast forward the video to where just before the problem occured(use the slow forward arrow) and when it hits the spot where the problem occured it will tell you that there is the floating decimal point order,click ok then use the slow forward button again until the video has no more problems and set your start point from there,rest of the video will then be decoded for you and then use merge and cut to join the two pieces together . you must take the last couple of frames off the first part of the video before you can join them using merge and cut other wise it wont join properly because the illegal floating decimal point is still there. hope that explains it for you
