  1. Help I don't know what to do. My DVD player won't play my VCD/SVCD's.

I have tried making MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 (I have read that MPEG 1 is for VCd and MPEG 2 is for SVCD, is that true), I have also tried making PAL and NTSC but none of it works. I think I have used over 15 CD-R's for nothing.

My DVD player is called United DVd 3153.
It supports both VCD's and SVCD's.

Is there a way to NOT use either PAL or NTSC cause maybe my DVD can't play that??? Where can I get a good encoder cheap or maybe free???? I need help really bad cause right now I can't use my DVD player for anything else but DVD's and I only have one.
Thanks for any help you can give me. :P

  2. Is your DVD player able to play CDR's, some players can play VCD's but only original pressed ones not burned ones. Will it play a music CDR for example. If you find it wont play CDR's you may find that CDRW's work as the reflectivity of these is closer to that of the pressed discs.
