if you are capturing in lossless AVI, and you don't get any dropped frames regardless of which program you use to capture with (eg virtualdub and virtualvcr), does that mean the quality of the avi file will be the same? As both programs are using the same drivers, and both programs are not dropping frames, I started thinking that perhaps it may be an option to use a simpler program than virtualdub for the capture process ... and just use virtualdub for post processing if required ... is this logic flawed? Thanks.
