DVD Image Still Too Big To Fit

I am trying to make a back up of my Miss Congeniality for genuine reasons. I plan to back up all my DVD's to keep them mint. Anyway, i've used Smartripper to rip the movie using the guide on this site and i've also deleted unnecessary vob files just leaving the start menu, movie and also the chapter selection but it's still to big to fit onto a blank dvd. How can I find out which are the foreign soundtracks to delete them or how can I reduce the movie further to make it fit onto a blank dvd-r? I plan on using Nero 5.5 to burn the disc also. Any help would be much appreciated.

Most of the DVDs that I have come across are still too large to fit onto a single DVD-R after stripping out its innards. In these situations you have two choices: Buy the DVD or re-encode it to shrink the file size down. Use this guide to get you started:

Thanks dmonty. Thats what I was looking for is a way to re-encode to make it smaller. I got something to play with this weekend now, much appreciated
