  1. My second try at creating a vcd photo slideshow has produced mediocre results. Then background music skips when the photos advance. It played okay on my computer but not on my Electrohome EH8181A dvd player.
I used Ulead DVD Picture Show, high res jpg's, and a classical music wav file, burned onto a Maxell cd-rw. The pause between photos was set to 4 seconds. (It fit the 52 photos to the music length better).
Any help or suggestions would be welcomed.

  2. I'm not really positive what the solution is, but when I started to make
VCD slideshows I had used ULEAD, too, but I kept getting lines in the
pictures on my home DVD player. So, after burning like 20 coasters,
I tried using WinOnCd Power Edition 5.0, and I actually got one to work
with no pops in the music, and no lines in the pics. For some reason
though, I can't make the Slideshow perfectly on my home pc,
but my work pc does it just fine.

Just a thought to try a different program and see what happens.

  4. I had the skipping problem before when I was using a PII. Situation usually better after a defrag, & must burn @ 1X. Now no problem with my PIII866 with winoncd pe... Good Luck

  5. You might also make sure the audio is just a bit bigger than the #pics times the delay. If my audio falls short I use Windows Sound Recorder to append silence or another file.

Also it might be better to use WAV files rather than MP3s. When encoding it saves the program a step and can prevent hiccups.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'
