    I've found that the generation 3 DVDR's work fine in the PS2 !

    kv5, what model is your ps2? mine is scph-30004 and it won't play dvd-r's.
    and what's exactly a generation 3 dvd-r? who makes them?

    i Dont actually own a PS2...... "Its the brother-in-laws" I know He brought it around Xmas 2001.....

    With regards to Gen 3 DVDR's..... these are the latest blank media... hence 'generation 3'.... they spin up much quicker than earlier Gen's and are much much more compatiable !!!
