dvd iso/udf is at the bottom of the dvd selection window in the wizard. you wont find it if you pick dvd-video. scroll down past dvd video and you should find it at the bottom of the window.

You cant just drag the svcd files in nero and think that it should work on your standalone dvd player. You must author it as dvd-video.

But if you only want to play it on your computer it doesnt matter.

  7. If you check the KDVD templates or the KVCD templates at there site

    http://www.kvcd.net/

You will find all the information you need to put MPEG on DVD-R. I was able to put three SVCD movies on one DVD-R with MyDVD software. This all depends on the length of the movie but you have 4.7 GB to deal with and using some of the templates on the KVCD site you can get it done with great results.

  8. Ok then Here we go.

1, Get the SVCD file and rename it to *.vob. Do this to all the files you want that make up the film, i.e. if there is 4 SVCD files rename them to 01SVCD.VOB, 02SVCD.VOB, 03SVCD.VOB, 04SVCD.VOB.

When done use AVI2DVD to join all the vob files together
    http://arbor.ee.ntu.edu.tw/~jackei/dvd2avi/DVD2AVI_176+.zip

Do do this, open up DVD2AVI, and select File and Open. select the 1st vob file and OK, this should then open a window and show you the four vob files. Press help and make sure it has the VFAPI Plug-in ticked, then press audio and select Track Number and tick Track 1. On Channel Format, Select MPEG Audio. Choose File and Save Project and give it a name with an M2V extension.

When Done open TMPGEnc get it below, and Load DVD (PAL).mcf setting. Press browse on the video source and load the M2V file you have just created, Do the smae with the Audio, but you will need to select All Files and choose the Audio file.
Give it an output directory and press start.
When done, after a few hours, you will have a large MPG file in the correct quality for a DVD. Run this through Spruce Up and there you go.
3 Days later a DVD made from a SVCD. http://www.tmpgenc.net/files/TMPGEnc-2.55.38.142-Free.zip

There is no need to do all that. Spruce Up MyDVD or DVDiT will accept MPEG-2 direct (SVCD) via drag and drop or import directly. All will convert/encode to the proper DVD format and play back without any problems. I use Srpuce Up with a Panasonic LF321 DVD burner with my test and played back on Pioneer DV 343, Panasonic LV55, Samsung M301 with great success again check the KVCD site for addition information.

  10. Will it accept 3 svcd files and merge them into one dvd? I had to do the above to get Spiderman from 3 svcd's into one continuous dvd?

    Thanks.

  11. I ran this test on two movies one was 113 Min in length, the other was 115 min, after I used the KDVD Template , the original DVD template has it set for 704x480 and 48Kz on the audio, I re-set it for (352x480). Lowered the Max Bit Rate to 2500. I was able to get both on the DVD-R and have a Button selection to pick which one you wanted to watch. The CQ on these was set at 60, Kwag's original Template has 65,. What I ended up with was SVCD quality and watched on a 61' Sony TV. Great stuff. To get three movies would depend on the length of the move as well as action sceens etc...Again please check the KVCD site for all the information on how to do this.

  14. Can someone help me? We use dvdtoavi i get a .d2v and .mpa file the .mpa file has a 019ms delay. I then use goldwave to convert .mpa to a wave. I then use tmpeg to encode as dvd ntsc. The video and audio are alright but not audio sync is not perfect you can slightly see when lips stop there is still talking. you really can't notice unless you look closely. But can someone tell me how to corect this. I none of the guides say anything about what to do with the delay.

The DVD2AVI project is telling you the exact delay you have to correct while encoding.
At least in TMPEG, you can select "source range" and under "Audio Gap correct" you enter the audio offset. If the DVD2AVI created a file that says -19, it means the audio is lagging the video by 19ms, so you would enter 19. If it says 19, it means audio is leading video by 19ms, so you would enter -19.
    Hope this helps.
