For the longest time I have tried several programs and ways to capture MPEG for VCD without any success. Well, I finally tried the Ulead program which came with my ATI-AIW32 card. This program is excellent- it perfectly format your MPEG to VCD in a short brief seconds or minute(no need for encoders) after you capture the video. I taped some "Rugrats" episodes and they look decent on the DVD player (some pixels, but overall it's decent looking and the audio is in sync with video).

I used to have the "Roxio EZ CD Creator Dx. 5, but, I now have the NERO. Man, you guys on this forum were not kidding when you said this burner program is great. Pros: You can go past chapter 5, It takes about 10 min to burn a CD (I don't think Roxio ever recognized that I had a 8x CD-R), and it lets you know the amount of time you have left before proceeding to burn the CD.

Both these software programs make it extremely easy and fast to burn VCDs. Simspons Episodes here we come!!! I only wish they had a feature like this for MPEG2s in the Ulead program.
