I'm using VCDEasy on Windows 2000.
This process works for VCD, but not for SVCD.
I use the suggested method:
1. add hi-res still, dummy SVCD mpg, and main SVCD mpg in that order.
2. make XML only
3. edit XML, changing path of dummy mpg to point to the audio file
4. (audio file is a MPEG-1 layer 2 audio)
I get an error when I use the modified XML to create the bin/cue with VCDxBuild.
Has anyone out there successfully created a menu with audio for SVCD? I know I could probably use TMPGEnc, with my hi-res still and audio files as input, to generate an MPEG-2 file with both video and audio.
But wouldn't that:
1. sacrifice image resolution, since it's not a still anymore
and/or
2. take up a lot more space than the still+audio combo
??
BTW, the error I get with VCDxBuild is:
file vcd_data_structures.c: line 217 (_vcd_list_begin): assertion failed: (list != NULL)
