After having great success following the guides and burning VCD 2.0 with menus using VCDTK and Gear 5.1 Demo, I became too anxious when the GEAR trial period ended.. so I registered for GEAR Pro CD-RW 6.00 and purchased the software- only to find that now I can't use the .gbf files like before. It looks like batch files ARE supported in the Professional version.. but that upgrade would cost $100.. Unless I am missing something here, it looks like this is a dead end. Perhaps I should move on.. to VCDImager? Although I am pleased with having made several great VCDs (thanks to tips from vcdhelp), I really do have reservations about spending (more) money to pursue the VCDTK/Gear approach. Suggestions & comments, please.

As indicated on page 97 of the 212 page manual for GEAR Pro CD-RW 6.00, it IS possible to use batch files (although it is NOT an option from within the program, as in the GEAR Demo version, under File menu).
Simply invoke the program from a command-line prompt like this:
gearpro /B [/A] [/X] batchfile.gbf
"(where /B stands for: using a batchfile, /A and /X are optional, /A stands for: run automatically, /X exits GEAR after completion of the batch.)
Please note that the batch file needs to be initiated from the GEAR software directory.. Failing to do so will result in errors. "
I have tried this on my machine and it works just fine! (sigh of relief)
