I got a really good tip from somone to get SVCDs and VCDs to play on my Sony Progressive scan DVD Player.
It works great on the two movies that I ran the procedure on. I was just wondering what it is doing and am I losing any quality?
Here is the procedure.
you need tmp encoding prog once ya get it open up tmp---go to file up top---hit mpeg tools--it should be on simple multiplex---load svcd into video--audio will auto load--change output name--then change type to mpeg-1 video-cd--then hit run--if ya get underbuffer error at 100% thats ok if it happens at 30 % or so then might be corupt of to slow of a system---once thats done open up nero to burn --choose--vcd--then drag over new file tmp made---it will check it --then a window will pop up--hit turn off normal compliance--then burn![]()

You are basically multiplexing your svcd as a vcd. No your not losing any quality but you may lose some features of svcds such as dual audio tracks and selectable subtitles.
