Does anyone here have experience with the Arita 4.7 GB dvd-r media (general use)?
I want to use them for making video dvd's and dvd-roms.
The video dvd's should be playable on many standalone dvd players.
I'm using a pioneer dvr-a04 for burning.

Arita is not a Grade A cdr media manufacturer, so it should hold true to form that they are not a Grade A dvd media manufacturer either. If you want to use a quality media, look into Pioneer, Mitsui or Apple (which is just remarked Pioneer media). Those are the only manufacturers that I am aware of that use a Grade A dye formulation. All the others use lower grade dye's, hence the cheaper cost. Grade A media always has the largest sphere of compatibility, you take your chances with lesser quality media.
