  1. I've been trying to burn a SVCD with VCDeasy. However, when I play the disc on my DVD the audio is out of sync by about a second. If I play the MPG file on my PC everything is fine.
    Can anyone help??
    Thanks in advance.

I dont know much about vcd easy but if theres a way u can add the audio and video seperatley then u could try n de-mux it, then add them both seperatley in vcdeasy(I dont know nething about vcdeasy n if theres not an option to do that dont scauld me)

I tried burning an SVCD I just capped in Nero and it works just fine. Unfortunately, Tmpgenc cut some of the file out of the capture when it cut it into 2 pieces to fit onto a couple CDs. I'm going to ask about general editing software in another thread...

  4. I used Nero to burn the cue/bin files and got the same result. I don't have the MPEG2 plug-in for it yet but am thinking about it.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be pleased to hear them!

  5. if the mpg is OK on the PC but async on the DVD it's the DVDs fault. e.g. my Toshiba 210 does so and is only in sync when I burn with InstandVideo.

Ok...I have this problem too. The mpg's play fine on my computer...but at some points while I'm watching them on my dvd player...the audio gets out of sync with the video. I have an Apex dvd player...and it plays most vcds fine. But when I swap from DIVX to MPG and play them on my dvd player...they generally play fine...just sometimes the audio gets out of whack with the video.

So am I to understand that...if the mpg's play fine on my computer...it's the dvd player's fault that the cd's don't play right?

  9. Looks like it is the DVD players fault. I got some friends to try out the coasters I'd been creating and they played fine. I downloaded a trial version of InstantVideo and that solved my problem! Thanks to all those who helped out with this one!!

  10. I burned a regular VCD and I had this problem. What is Instant Video...and will it work burning a VCD instead of SVCD? I burn with Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.

  11. InstantVideo will burn VCD 1.1 and VCD 2.0 as well as SVCD. I haven't had much of an opportunity to try it out but it looks quite useful.

  12. I have to add that with Instant Video you can't make (S)VCDs with PBC (menus, jumping to entry points,...).
You have to play or fastforward the whole movie.
There is a solution for the Toshiba 210 (multiplexing the mpg as "~DVD" with bbMpeg - whatever this exactly means,
    look at http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8039
    ).
It works great but I haven't tested it on other standalones.
With this (a little strange) mpg you can use all features of the SVCD.
btw when talking about VCDs all works well on my toshiba when burning with VCDEasy.

  13. I went to InstantVideo's website and I cannot download the trial version. Says it can't find the file in it's database. Anyone know where to get it?
