burn divx on 700mb cd-r won't work but works on cd-rw? HELP

I burned a divx of ± 720MB on a CD-RW (lenco) with no problems.
I can watch the movie.
When I burn the movie on a CD-R (More; Nashua) it says that the burning succeeded
but i cannot watch the movie because there is nothing in the directory.
(Afterwards I finalised the cd with same result).

Why can't I burn it on cd-r but can on cd-rw
I tried with nero, ecdc, cdrwin and all failed with cd-r (and same problem)
showing an empty directory.

Help Me please
