how do i get a fram to jpg or anny picture type to use in the menu or background for vcds
i cant use print screen the picture is totaly black
anny help wil be thankfull ...

PowerDVD can save stills of a movie
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin' -
Your video will be displayed in "overlay" mode by your video card and this is why your screen captures aren't working.
For most DVD players, however, you can do as kitty has suggested (most will have a built in screen capture tool).
As a point of interest, you can use screen capture of the video if you change the "video acceleration" of your video card to "none".
Alternatively, you could load the relevant vob file with DVD2AVI and then do a screen capture with that proggy (very high quality).

If you can open the sorce movie in QuickTime just use Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V in your picture editor program. Almost every one have QuickTime and it can play mpg and avi now-a-days.
