  1. I just got my dvr 104 today and decided to make a movie to test it out. I used a divx file and converted it to 720x480 2 pass VBR 4000avg bitrate (tmpgenc 2.5x). Used DVDit PE 2.5 to author and burn. The menus were to big, and I found out I need to make them 640x480, no problem.

My video on the other hand is 720x480 and it doesnt fit on my television screen using my sony dvp s560d, ps2, or samsung m101. All were on different TV sets. I am thinking I need to re-encode at 704x480, but I would still have a problem seeing the bottom and top of the video. Is there any resolution that I could use to fit the horizontal and vertical? I am going to try 704, and I think it may help, but I am stuck on vertical. Any suggestions are appreciated.

BTW regular dvds work just fine on my tv and dont have this problem.

  2. Wild guess. Maybe the 4:3 option in tmpgenc is at fault. How does it play with Windows media player full screen? Is it clipped?

  3. they run just fine in WMP at full screen. Could the 4:3 in tmpgenc be messed up or something?

  5. u should set the video arrange to centre (custom size) double click the clip frame box and add black boarders therefore losing none of the image on ur tv just the black boarders.
