  1. Im downloading a movie right now but the files are AVI. Ive never used AVI for burning before but can you do it with AVI ... burning them to cdr for vcd??? Let me know...Im really tired of having to re encode stuff especially when its so complicated LOL I feel technologically impaired.

    Vcds use mpeg1 and svcds use mpeg2. If your source is an avi file than you will have to transcode it to mpg if you want to burn it as a vcd or svcd. There is no way around it.
