I use the Pinnacle DV500DVD just Brilliant
S-Video,Component, Firewire input and output
Capture full resolution 720 x 576 PAL DVD never dropped a frame and I've captured 2 hour movies into one file about 35gig -
ATI cards have s-video, with the info on this site I capture at about 1.71mbps for the 90min movies to go onto 2 discs, as vcd compliant discs. I like these cards as I do get good quality at these capture rates, not the 1.15 thats the norm for vcd, and no conversions, capture movie, burn it, delete it from my drive. I can capture a 90 min movie in 90min, and be done burning to vcd in 15 mins. Over 200 movies captured todate from the cable box.
