  1. Hello all,

As I eluded to in the title, I have some DVD files that I'd like to convert to an ISO file. I always see people asking
the opposite, converting an ISO file to an mp4 or mkv file, but never the other way around. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  2. Well, I guess I didn't properly explain what I'm looking for. I don't need just any ISO creator, I need something that's going to
take the DVD (.vob) files and put them onto an iso file so it works like an exact copy of the physical DVD. I have used software
like this in the past, but I don't recall what it was. I hope this clarifies things a little better.

you can't just put vobs in a iso. you have to author a dvd with video_ts and audio_ts folders and then it can be turned into an iso.

If it's a valid structure already imgburn can burn it or k3b in Linux. If it's not and just a bunch of vobs you can try to drag them all into dvdstyler but appending all to one mkv file before importing first is usually safer. There's also on the windows side avs2dvd etc.
if all else fails read the manual

  5. Thanks to all who responded, I really appreciate it. Especially to dannyboy who finally gave me the answer I was
looking for. Your first suggestion to try ImgBurn did the trick. It might be ancient software but, it still works!
    So, consider this case closed.
