  1. Hello,

I've some bad deinterlaced clips with some probems on lines.
You can see it on the glasses in the testfile clip.
In Hybrid with the SangNom filter I get some improvement in some frames but not on the hole clip.
Also trying the other filters in the "AntiAliasing" tab, but give no good results for me.
    Can someone help me out?
Of course I don't have the original Interlaced footage available.

    Thanks

  2. Playing around with this, I (fixed a bug in Hybrid related to gimmick resizing&masking) and tried this:
(requires latest dev and torch add-on)
    General idea:
    • create a filtered version of the clip, where you:
      • downscale
      • filter on the region of interest with BasicVSR++
      • re-upscale
    • combine filtered and original (masked)
    • try remove/lessen the flickering with SMDegrain(dct=1)
Main problems with this approach is:
    a. the masking on combining is tricky, so that ideally only the stuff that we want to change gets changed
    b. it's slow and requires the torch add-on

Maybe someone else has a better idea to handle this. (maybe down-scalling and applying some aa or vinverse might work, or maybe a nifty use of SMDegrain)

Here's the script and a single image preview. Attached the result.
