  1. What is the best way to deinterlace PAL 16:9 DVDs and resize them to square pixels with minimal amount of jagged edges/aliasing/interlace artifacts?
So far QTGMC default profiles in Hybrid don't look better than real time DXVA Windows deinterlace in Kodi media player with Spline Optimised resize.
As far as resizing/upscaling is concerned, should I stick to 1024x576 or upscale the deinterlaced dvd to 720p if it can help with aliasing/jagged edges?

If you want to give it a try, the DVD iso images are available here: archive.org/download/itcrowd

You could double-rate deinterlace to 50 FPS, less artifacts, but some don't like the "Look" of the motion

It is standard true interlaced TFF footage IMO. Mind you explaining what you mean? (I downloaded VTS_02_1.VOB only for inspection).
