What is the best way to deinterlace PAL 16:9 DVDs and resize them to square pixels with minimal amount of jagged edges/aliasing/interlace artifacts?
So far QTGMC default profiles in Hybrid don't look better than real time DXVA Windows deinterlace in Kodi media player with Spline Optimised resize.
As far as resizing/upscaling is concerned, should I stick to 1024x576 or upscale the deinterlaced dvd to 720p if it can help with aliasing/jagged edges?
If you want to give it a try, the DVD iso images are available here: archive.org/download/itcrowd

You could double-rate deinterlace to 50 FPS, less artifacts, but some don't like the "Look" of the motion
