    Hi all,

First, I'm not sure wether it's the right topic or not to post this message, but I think it's the most appropriate...

Here's my question. I have lot of .kar karaoke files (more than 10,000). For those who don't know what these files are, they are based on midi music, with lyrics synchronized with the music. It need a special software to play it. Depending on the software, there'll be either a change in the text color or a bouncing ball or anything else that will tell you when you have to sing the part you're on. (for more info, see http://www.karaokevision.com/)

I also have many music video's. And here's what I want to do.

    - Remove the music from my music video
    - Add the music based on the kar file
    - Add the lyrics with a bouncing ball or color change or anything
    - Burn to VCD's

I don't know wether there is a program that could do that automatically using the initial .kar and .mpeg to create the new karaoke video file. Otherwise, is there any solution you can suggest me to do that.

Also, if such program exist, is there anyway to do that in batch. As I told in the beginning, I have more than 10,000 karaoke files, and it will be godsent if I could process many at one time (eg. Set 20 of them and let them work for the night).

Thanks a lot to anyone who has an idea, a suggestion, and also to anyone who reads this message but don't answer because he simply don't know

  2. I can't answer your question, but perhaps someone can point me in the right direction as to how I can create my own SVCD karaoke text overlays (preferedly multi-track) on a video to play back on a DVD player.

    In a word; help.

    - The box said: 'install on Windows XP, 2003 or better'. So I installed it on Linux.
