  1. I have been trying to burn mpegs of Futurama to vcd. In nero it checks the files and says that they aren't compatible with vcd standard, and need to be re-encoded. Ok, so I told nero to re-encode them, and after a few hours it had burned and I checked it and as the episodes progress the audio becomes more and more de-synched. So I tried burning it without re-encoding them, and the sound works fine but it pauses every now and then for a split second. So I tried re-encoding the files first in Tmpeg, and the sound de-synchs when I play them on my PC. I tried burning NTSC and PAL and still get synching problems. I've tried a lot of things, anyone else suggest anything?

    Thanks

Load the AVI into Vdub, does it tell you there is a problem ?. If the AVI has a non standard Mp3 audio track you may need to save out the audio as a WAV and use it with TMPGEnc VID > WAV >

If there is no problem with the AVI, you could still save out another copy using audio and video streaming, this only takes a minuet or so. then use that in TMPGEnc, just convert a section and try it.

If the audio is a little out, you can use TMPGENC to correct it, select settings > source range > at the bottom you can see "Audio gap correct" +/-

Never use Nero or any other "Authoring" program, they are mostly useless, TMPGEnc with a "load" template for VCD PAL/NTSC will make a fully compliant mpeg ready to use in programs like Nero.

Then the best you can do (If the mpeg is not bad)

If the audio is a little out, you can use TMPGENC to correct it, select settings > source range > at the bottom you can see "Audio gap correct" +/-
