  1. Hi

I have converted four SVCD´s to DVD format using Ulead Movia Factory. Now I want them to play "in a row" as one movie. Is that possible using Ulead MoviFactory? I have seen the option where it makes multiple files to one, but I am afraid that the sound will go out of sync. Does anyone have expreince with the above? Any help will be appreciated

  2. Yes, Ulead DVD Movie Factory (Stand-Alone and Plug-In) will run all clips together - even if they are not joined as a single file. However, if they are not joined as a single file, you will get a thumbnail for each clip in the menu (Personally - I don't like this.)

I have used Roxio Video Pack (They can keep it - I returned it for a refund); Ulead DVD Movie Factory (too simplistic for my tastes) Pinnacle Express (Similar to Movie Factory, but a tad nicer - especially if you use Pinnacle Studio to edit with!, but still a little too simplistic)

I also have used DVDiT! LE and Pro - I REALLY don't care for the interface and total lack of features - but they both offer WAY more control than those previousely mentioned (except Video Pack)

The *BEST* (in my experience) for quality, control and output is Ulead DVD Workshop. Flawless DVDs made and the control and navigation set-up is awesome.

Pinnacle Express has a great interface and would be my second choice. They are releasing a 1.1 update soon - hopefully adding a little more feature.

I know this is a verbose message, but I figured answerring one question would lead to another and so on.

All the DVD authoring software I have mentioned will default to playing all clips in-line unless you specifically set-up navigation to return to a menu after that clip plays. These would be Video Pack, DVDiT (LE and PRO) and DVD Workshop.

Oh, and nothing says you HAVE to have a menu at all.

Hope this is insightful for you.

  3. I have used dvdmf with multiple mpgs. for dvd I just added them one after another and did not create any menu or chapters. After it burned to my ao4 pioneer -r .I load the dvd and press play,it plays them one after another with about a one second gap inbetween each one.The chapter button on the dvd player works to select what mpg you want.Let me know if you are able to eliminate the 1 sec. gap.I haven,t tried to create chapters yet because they are automatically made to my surprise.I have been playing the dvds on a Apex ad-1500 and dont know if the chapter thing works on all players .Good luck. :P
