  1. I've been using Ulead DVD Pictureshow and the menus it provides are great... now I want add menus to my VCDs... I searched the forums and see that both Ulead DVD Factory and Ulead Media Studio 6 allow for chapters... is this correct? If so which should I buy?

  2. Please answer... I've tried so many times to ask questions on this forum and get no reponse... My topic is specific... not a "NEED HELP NOW!" subject... I searched the forum for answers... pleeeeaaasssseeee... this forum seems to have smart peeps, yet no one helps newbies... I'm a regular at http://pub25.ezboard.com/fstreemeboxvcrfrm1 and help everyone, why can't you guys reciprocate? If you have any streaming media questions, I'm your man. Don't disappoint me for 50th time

  5. I use Ulead VideoStudio 6 (sometimes to encode and burn VCDs/SVCDs, other times just to burn VCD/SVCD compliant video encoded elsewhere, i.e. TMPGEnc).

It doesn't have the "motion" menu generation of DVD Workshop (it's not $300 either), but it does do still-frame menus and lets you pick exactly where you want the chapter points (and uses that frame as a menu thumbnail), specify a short chapter title ("Roll Film", "Omaha Beach", "Firefight" etc), and you can also specify an "intro video" if you so choose, that will play at the beginning of the VCD before the menu appears.

As far as choosing between Ulead products, you can try fre 30-day trials of all of them. Your review should carry far more heft than anyone else's, unless...you don't trust yourself.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
