m2v??? isn't that an svcd stream??? or from CCE??? have you tried to multiplex that with the sound in TMPG???
-
How did you encode this .m2v? Usually this is the extention for MPEG-2 video (no audio).

Plus it would help to know if you are on a MAC or pc.....not that I favor one over the other.

m2v is an svcd stream. you can just rename the extension to mpg. personally, i like to use tscv to create a bin/cue file to burn, you can just add the mpg files and click "create bin/cue"
hope this helps

yea i also download a music video that has the .m2v extension, it says its a xsvcd. Oh yea and there is sound, i could only open it with my power dvd. if your trying to convert the .m2v into a regular vcd (mpeg1), I don't think u can just rename it to .mpg, u might have to encoded it to mpeg1

When I create a mpeg2 file with my aiw card, the extension it is given is .mp2. After renaming it .mpg its accepted as a mepg2 file by tmpg and m/s media player (make sure media player has the mpeg2 codac too run it.

m2v extensions are basically same as dvd video.
Use dvd2avi to create a project of your m2v file and then encode it to mpg(vcd) in tmpg.
simple as that.
