  1. Can anyone one tell me the process for creating a SVCD or VCD that will work in a player that only except originals? I have tried just about every method and piece of software and believe that I have finally created successful VCDs and SVCD's the only problem is that they don't seem to play on my standalone player. The player I am using is a Samsung M301 and it supports CDR, CDRW, VCD, SVCD, as far as the media that I have been using it is Imation 80min, 700MG (and this same media has worked in the M301 to playback MP3s so I would assume it would work for this). I am still waiting to hear back from Samsung to find out if the M301 indeed does not support burned VCDs and the like but I assume that is what the problem is because of numerous posts in this forum. The problem is that I have yet to find any information on how to make the player believe the burned CD is an original. I was wondering if it might have something to do with region codes, I have not found much discussion about them as far as VCDs and SVCDs are concerned.
PLEASE HELP!!! I have enough coasters floating around my apartment! :o

  2. I'm not an expert in this, but have had similar problems using different color coating media (blue, greenish, silver, etc.) Suggest you try several different colored CD-RW (to avoid coasters) and see which one works.

  3. Have you tried a CD-RW disc - I had problems with lots of CD-Rs and my Sony. Gave it a CD-RW and it played 1st time.

    Give it a try.
