I got a copy of the scorpion king but on some bits thepicture is to dark and on others it too bright i think there is something wrong with the contrast is there any way to rencode it and fix the problem

Welcome to the world of Divx movie pirates Okay on the serious side, this happens alot with downloaded movies. It is probably a cam movie, someone went to see the movie and used a home video camera to tape it. Unfortunately, and reencoding you do may make the movie look worse. Divx isnt very good at high quality conversion. I tried it with not another teen movie, and the video looked a little smeary after.

You could try to run it through Virtual Dub and apply maybe a contrast or brightness filter to it. It may help but sometimes it will make a video seem washed out or faded.

Sometimes you get what you pay for sorry to say I downloaded Jasonx and at some times in it it is so dark its hard to see peoples faces or other objects clearly.
