Best Freeware Video Capture PLUS compression at same time?

Hallo,

I am looking for a good freeware Video Capturing software, that compresses the video while it is recording/importing the video.

I have Nero 7 from 2007 (don't laugh), but it's capturing file size is enormous. I have only captured three minutes and it is already at 690mb. It's audio quality is bad, too.

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

If it is size you are worried about then just change the recording/capturing compression type in Nero.

Thank you, I changed the setting to NERO DIGITAL, 30 fps, and that brought the data down considerably. The 90 minute recording was only 1.3 Gig, and good quality too. Thanks!
