    So i'm a noob at video editing, like REALLY, could someone tell me how to have a picture fade over a video from the beginning and finish fading at the end of the video? I've googled it and it didn't help, the interface doesn't help either.

    Nope. You can only add fade in/out black. And it's very buggy...

    I would try find another free editor. Maybe videopad video editor.
