I have recorded a live music video, and ultimately, was trying to attach subtitles with a little bouncing head/ball on top of the lyrics.
I ended up using dotsub to add the subtitles, and thought that if I downloaded a mousecape then recorded my screen with the video playing and the mouse moving overtop that that would work!
However, now the audio has been compromised and the screen recording doesn't pick up that I changed my mouse into a different icon from the arrow.
I have put a lot of work into this and would really appreciate if someone had an alternative method in accomplishing what I thought would be a simple fun little video!
Thanks so much!

Create the "Bouncing Ball" as a standalone still animation, like a GIF. Then "re-animate", via keyframes, the animation, over the text.
