show the video to your local police department. do the traffic signals have cameras on them??

568x320???? wth i thought iphone 6s shot 1080p as their standard video? not much detail can be seen in a 320 video no matter what it is of.

after watching it, it's even worse, it's a 320p video shot vertically through a dirty shaking windscreen on a motorcycle. the total area of the license plate you are trying to see is maybe 1/100 of the screen or about 2 pixels x 2 pixels. what a joke.

like i said take your phone to your local police department they have sophisticated tools & computer equipment
get license plates like this. -
Many hit and run, DUI, etc, cases get solved even without plate numbers, and even without high end "technical" wares. There are departments totally dedicated to this and have many ways of figuring this out. I too say take it to your Police department.
Just for the record, if anyone is interested, there are high end HD cameras available to the average consumer that can be placed in your vehicle. They are designed to actually to be vehicle cameras that can take footage at high speeds and with fast movement at awkward angles.I hate VHS. I always did. -
I don't know how it is in Australia, but in my country motocycles are not allowed to run between lanes (although everybody does it!). So, if it's the same in your country, you are as guilty as the other guy.

pretty much my thought, the idiot on the organ donor machine got what he deserved.
but as for the video, my guess is that the white porsche 911 didn't have a plate at all. if you look where one should be it's trapezoidal not rectangular and there isn't any indication in any frame that there are alternating white/black areas where letters/numbers should be. i was able to get plates and refocus a bit from other cars when they are in the right lane like the porsche was for a while.

thx guys. interesting input.. i will be upgrading from iphone on handlebar mount to gopro on visor mount in future. re "the idiot on the organ donor machine getting what he deserved " ... if you have a look at new south wales australia road rules .... lane filtering is legal in new south wales australia up to 30kph so what i was doing is legal and safe if muppets like the porsche driver dont change lanes without indicating. i didnt get knocked off the bike... was too slow for that to happen. he just nudged into me when he swerved into the gap without looking. has broken off my gear change lever which is not enough ... in my book ..to take it to the police but expensive enuf for me to want to identify the guy. he took off afterwards before i had a chance to get his plate.

the "law" here doesn't require a helmet while riding a motorcycle. hence why they are refereed to as organ donor machines. just because the law allows something doesn't make it the right thing to do. /preaching_off

Some states here in the U.S. require helmets, others don't.
Same with so called "lane splitting".
And yes, I own a motorcycle.
I've noticed it's the guys riding the big fat cruisers (think Harleys) who don't wear helmets.
The guys on sportbikes are the lane splitters.
Mostly everyone else, especially the older guys riding touring bikes like a Goldwing, aren't out to be organ donors.
As to the original question, there doesn't appear to be much that can be done with the video.Pull! Bang! Darn!
