  1.

I've recently purchased the pioneer a03 writer. I buy it take it home. install it take a svcd mpeg2 file and chuck it into dvdit. take some time learning the menu creation. setup the program to make the dvd and goto sleep.

wake up. run to the dvd players with dvd in hand. it works. (joy)

But im not happy with the menu capabilities of dvdit. so i learn of reeldvd. run off and purchase it.

it's been a week now. I havent sucessfully authored anything because i've got no means (not for lack of trying) to convert a dang mp2 file to get it into reeldvd. and it's so frustrating cause i can convert mp3's galore for menu's and the like with varous programs.

What i've tried recently is exporting the audio through premier. open the mpeg 2 export audio. auio settings 48 16bit blah blah pcm or uncompressed whatever way i export it god dang file wont open in any of my wav editors. wich blows my mind.

the closest i've gotten was using flaskmpeg to extract the audio from the original avi file of the svcd then used a wave editor to get it into reel dvd. unfortunatley as i watched the preview about 15 minutes in it loses audio sync. in a real bad way.

it shouldnt be this big of a problem. it feels like tripping on an ant hill. what am i overlooking?

  2. If you think your missing something it may be the yellow line at the top of your timeline. Make sure it stretches for the full length of your clip cause on export, it only exports whats under that line. I just ran a test, loaded an avi file and and standalone mp2 file, then file>export timeline>audio and left the default settings (uncompressed 48 KHz 16 bit stereo). Perfect wav output from either source clip. Try it again with Premier, it should work just fine.
