Strange NERO 5.5.6.2 burning problem

Greetings,

For over 4 months I have been authoring and burning VCD's. As of yesterday, NERO gets hung on writing the LEAD-OUT of a VCD. I can write an audio or a data cd, no problem. I have not added any software since last time I burned.

Here is what I have done to try and correct.
Completely removed NERO. Editted registry and everything
Reinstalled. No deal.

Did same but did sys retore back 8 days. Still no joy.

changed NERO release, nothing.

Can anyone tell me, what controls LEAD OUt ? Is that a SOFTWARE (Nero function) or is it firmware ? Might I have zapped my CDRW drive ? ( was in the case and just wondered if it was a possiblity)

I use my CDRW 99.9 % for VCD's so this is like hell with no ice-water.

Try a CD-R Disk, see if that works. CD-R's are cheap so I quit using CD-RW's, otherwise check to see if any of the Nero settings have been changed. How long are the VCD's that you are trying to burn? Too long maybe? What other software have you installed since you had the problem?
