  1. Ok heres what I'm starting with:
Start with 1 avi file approx 750MB, and 1 uncompressed pcm audio file approx 1.8GB. Put them together and I get:
    3.5 GB - Movie Clip/DVD Formatted with TMPGEnc (MPEG2-DVD).

Now I tested this on my computer and the sound sync's correctly.

Go to Ulead DVD Workshop and create the title page(no chapters), burn at medium quality, 2x on a pioneer A04.

When complete the audio is approx 1 sec off(behind). Seems to keep the same lag all the way through 1hr 30min movie.

Could this be caused by the bit-rate I used in TMPGEnc? I used the default for DVD-MPEG2 which I think is 2650?

Could it be the burn process using Ulead? Should I use Ulead for the authoring and burn with Nero instead? I don't want to keep using DVD-R disks as they're still pretty pricey.....but my DVD player won't play DVD-RW's......... So I'm kind of stuck...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

  2. Apply this patch www.ulead.com/tech/dws/dws_ftp.htm and it should correct the problem. The patch says it is for DVD WorkShop but it works with DVD Movie Factory also. In the future to save yourself a coaster select create the DVD folder option on the burn screen then play the VOB files and check the audio/video sync. I had a sync problem and the patch solved it.

  4. Lamont, I just wanted to say thanks. I tried the patch for Ulead, saved the TS_Video folder, tested it on my PC(No Problems), burned it to a DVD and BAM, it worked great!!!

I would suggest getting the patch for anyone using Ulead DVD Workshop... even though it says it's for hardware encoding, get it anyway.

    Thanks again!!
