I've been testing DVD Complete using Verbatim DVD-RW discs with good success. Burn times for the DVD-RWs seemed about right. Once I got satisfied with my results I put in a Mitsui Gold DVD-R 2X disc in. It took 12 hours to burn the thing (this is pure burn time not any time for encoding). I needed to make two copies so I burned from scratch and also I burned from an image file: both methods took about 12 hours. In spite of the long burn times they played just fine. I also noticed that the burn light on the A03 would only be lit for about 1 second out of every 10 seconds. Normaly the burn light would be on constantly.
I'm using a DVR-A03 v1.65. Previously I was able to burn a Pioneer DVD-R and a cheap www.cd-recordable.com DVD-R using Ulead's DVD movie factory in a reasonable amount of time.
Anyone else experience long burn times on either DVD complete or Mitsui discs?
