Colour problems

help me...ive looked through lots of pages of forums with no success...i have created a vcd using an mpeg created in Tmpeg. It creates fine but when i play it on my DVD player it is in black and white. This has happened on every attempt at VCD's ive made, except one but i do not believe i did anything different setting wise for that one. I am using Nero 5.02 for burning and the most recent tmpeg...

The only thing i thought but i dont really know about different media is that it couold be something to do with me using a CDRW is this likely?

I had the same problem. Im using a Philips DVD 751 and only certain VCD's i make will play in color. I use NTSC most of the time and it works, except larger movies it doesnt matter. However i can take the movie that plays black and white on the philips and it will play PERFECTLY on my mom & dad's Sony DVD Player. I tried updating the ROM for the Philips but that didnt help any. I would say check under the DVD Players section and see the reports about yours.
