I wanna convert a Vcd to Divx
I have a two mpeg1 files each one 450 Mb.
I wanna convert these to divx without loosing any Quality.
My theory is ther is nor neccesary to use a high bitrate when encoding to divx, since vcd are already encoded in 1150Kb per second on mpeg1 compression.
I thaught that a 500-600 Kb per second will be enough to encode.
is my theory right?
Or am i wrong?

Try short test clips and let your eyes be the ultimate judge...
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
