Hi all.
I am using Womble's Mpeg Video Editor v4.0. Imported two mpeg videos in the timeline to join together. Fig-1.
Earlier, I could drag them in the timeline to wherever I wanted (e.g. swap their positions etc.). But now, I cant do that. A 'NO' sign appears, (the one that resembles a donut with a slash across it).
Please help.
Thanks.
Amer

	Hi

 Make sure that the track isn't locked. Right click on the camerra to the left of the track and choose unlock.

	Hi.

 Thank you for your response.

 Its not locked. I think when you have it locked it displays a 'lock' symbol there.

	I cannot duplicate your problem. Have you tried the latest version? It's worth a try if not.

	donut with a slash? I think that means the file referenced has been moved or deleted.

	If the file were deleted or moved there would be an x on the lower right corner of the file on the timeline and in the browser. But I did notice that there is no video showing on either of the monitors. Try another file on the timeline and see what happens.

	I haven't had that issue either, but you can try right clicking on a gap, and select "Clear All Gaps". That would effectively join them, if that's your goal, albeit in a work-around. I'm not sure what is going on for you.

	Hi all friends.

 Thanks very much for all your kind suggestions.

 The problem got solved by reinstallation.

 Best Regards,

	I had the same problem, but it did not solve by re-installing alone.
 I had to delete some of the files in the settings directory which is hidden somewhere in
 \Users\...\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (86)\Womble Multimedia\MPEG Video Wizard DVD\Configs
 I seem to remember that I had the same effect before, and I solved it by deleting several of the entries
 in the Project - Clip - Video window...

	Update:
 Stop MVW
 Search for the file TimeLine.cfg in the above mentioned directory or whereever MVW stores its config.
 Edit this file and change the entry
 InfoBox= 0 0 0 1
 into
 InfoBox= 0 0 0 0
 Save the file and restart MVW.
 The clips can be moved by drag and drop again.
 Greetings
 David
