I have a divx movie and I want to burn it. However, the file size is too big. I want to fit it onto one cd. Is there a way to cut the file size down without losing the quality?
The file is 707mb so it's just too much for one cd.
I've tried virtualdub... but I'm not sure how to use it. I take off the beginning and the end, then try to save it as .avi and it makes a HUGE file. Thats uncompressed. SO I tried the divx compression and it says the progected file size is 250 or so mb.. so I'm guessing the quality must be going down alot.
What do I do???

1. load your file into virtual dub.
2.select direct stream copy on both video & audio
3.press the mark in button (the left one
4.drag the position control to the actual frame there you want the cut to be made.
5.press the mark out button (the right one.
if you done everything right. a blue bar appears there you just draged
the position control.
6.save as avi....... :D -
I used Virtual Dub to split an AVI file in to 2 files and the sound got all screwed up. Any suggestions on how to correct that situation?

I have used those exact directions already, but I will try them again.
Thanks
