the device like new was languishing in the closet
so i gave it to a friend who has an HP running winXP
i gave him that laptop last year,
the software installed, the driver installed
but the dang thing will not find even ONE ch/signal
it is a DUAL tuner analog & digital
I used it back in the analog days,
it refuses to show any signal whats so ever
IDK if its not ATSC or if it has simply died
i connected and external antenna, and even replaced the USB cable
the power light is on
there are NO windows errors or driver errors
the antenna signal indicator shows nothing
sometimes the MediaTV (arcSoft) will say no device present no signal detected
the device is getting power and can be felt to have warmed up from receiving power

anybody know anything i haven't checked ?

tracked it down ... useless in USA for astc, only works on analog and DTB_T european digital broadcasts
