  1. Just over a year ago i bought the Hauppauge hdpvr, i have used this to archive sky+ recordings in hd, the issue that i have been having and researching for quite some time is that when i convert 50fps to 25fps the video goes choppy. Now i had a very long-winded way of converting to 25fps without losing motion but the end video was just moosh. My video is in h264 at 720p, with the audio at ac3 384 kbps, ideally i need a way to convert and edit this video (remove adverts) to a dvd complaint 576i 25fps file with a good picture quality and smooth motion, can anybody please help me with this? thanks

what do you use for video editing software? and it might help if you filled out your computer specs in your forum profile.

    welcome to the forum

nero isn't very good. if you want something fairly easy to get the hang of sony has movie studio for a fairly reasonable price, and it goes on sale frequently at online shops. if you need something free you could try out lightworks, i think they still have a free version, and use eyeframe converter to get your source into a compatible format. something like shown here.
