Are there any good converters, besides autogk, that let you determine the size of the new file? If I want to convert dvd to avi, I want it too be around 700mb. Tried alot of programs but none of them really have this option.

In most converters you can type in bitrate but for every movie it's different so that doesn't really work great either.

AutoGK often makes the movie out of sync or doesn't add the subtitle so I'm looking for a program to replace Autogk.

Anyone knows any other program like AutoGK?

How do you import your dvds in autogk? Be sure to open the main movie .ifo instead of separate vobs to avoid sync and sub problems.

Or else try staxrip, fairuse wizard or the old handbrake 0.9.3.

And you can use a video bitrate calculator to calculate the bitrate for a custom file size.

AutoGK has nothing to do with whether or not the audio is in synch. That comes down to how you decrypted the DVD. DVDs with newer copy protections often need up-to-date decrypters and sometimes even post-decrypting apps to completely remove all traces of the copy protection. Given a properly decrypted source, the audio will always be in synch.

And as Baldrick mentioned, if you want subs you have to open the IFO containing the movie. And even if subs aren't a consideration, it's often a good idea to open the IFO anyway (to help with possible synch problems).

Yes I know I have to open the 'biggest' .ifo file.

I'll try the suggestions you all mentioned today, thanks for your help.
