No composite with WDM

I have serious problems with my Asus 7100 Deluxe Combo. My composite input no longer works with the WDM driver (Asus VCR and VirtualDub), all I get is a black screen. I have had it workning fine before, and used it last time 3 weeks ago. Now I just can't get it working any more. I have reinstalled Windows (XP) some 5 times, installed everything in the same order as when it was working ... still black. The TV-tuner works but if I try capture from my VCR through the tuner, I only get black and white...

You would easily think this is a hardware problem, but the thing is everything works fine in Asus LIVE 4.6, which uses the VfW driver.

Does anyone recognize any of this? Please help!!!

My specs:
OS: Windows XP
Asus driver: 14.62a, also tried 27.42
nVidia WDM driver: 1.08, also tried Asus provided 1.11 (both set to PAL)

Followup: I have now tried it out with Windows Me also. VfW works fine, but the same problems occur with the WDM.

I have also tried some new drivers: 6.31, 21.xx, and nVidia Detonator.
None made any difference.
I'm almost certain something's happened to my hardware.

Just one other thought (if it hadn't already occured to you reading my last post about my problems). I often get the black screen in Overlay display mode. Try checking Preview mode, as that always seems to work for me (once the 1.08's were working that is!)
