Okay, so... apparently there's only one video (out of three that I've tried so far) that this converter doesn't seem to agree with. I used the same settings on it as with two previous ones (both converted nicely and smoothly, both AVI to MP4). Both of these were below 2 minutes in length. This third one, however, is about two minutes and a few seconds. The converter always stops/freezes at 15%. And if I wait it out, it says "task completed" like it did for the others (without the progress bars going any further than that 15% mark). So I go to test it in Windows Media Player as per usual to see if any errors occur. A couple seconds into this video, the video cuts out and for the rest of the duration of the video, there's a black screen. The audio comes in fine. I don't know how to fix it. I've already tried to contact the iWisoft people about it, but no responses yet.

Can you play the source file without problems?

Easiest is probably just to try another converter like freemake video converter(adware, deselect/decline all toolbars when you install it), video to video converter, etc.

The AVI? No. It lags the crap out of WMP and VLC. Hence why I don't just want to try uploading that stupid filetype as is because it's huge and takes forever.
Well I've tried a couple video converters already. Any Video Converter, Prism Video Converter, WinX... Bleh.
