    Hi there,
I have a HD PVR satellite box which is have analog / HDMI output. I always record HD movie shown and it's saved on the hard disk on the satellite box.

    My question is :-

    1. How do i transfer / re-recording the file on the HD PVR satellite box in HD Format.

    2. Earlier i have purchased Easycap video / audio capture on the net and have used this device to transfer back to my laptop using cyberlink powerdirector but the quality is not in HD format as easycap is only have RCA cable connected to HD PVR Satellite box.

Appreciate it very much if someone could gimme some advice on what kind of device and software should be used for HD recording.

    TQ

You could use a satellite receiver which can record on an external HDD.
Not all will do ; you must chose one that make files compliant to PC,such as .TS files on NTFS HDD.
I think you will find easily find such a device for free to air broadcasting.
For pay TV, it depends on the policy of the broadcaster;I know of no way to do that in France for satellite or cable TV.

To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script.

the problem is that...the file format that recorded on hdd satellite box could not be copied over ...it's protected. therefore i need to re playback the saved movie and record thru easycap video/audio capture..and it's not in hd format.
