I have some 1st generation recordings of old TV series I want to transfer to VCD or SVCD and someday maybe DVD. Right now I think I'm leaning toward the Dazzle DV Bridge for capturing. Staying under $300, is there a better option or will that produce about as good quality captures as I can expect? Here is my current system configuration, though I might switch to Windows 2000, dump the zip drive and add a 2nd hard drive.
Originally this was a Dell Dimension XPS R400 but I've done quite a bit of upgrading.

I've had a DV Brige for 6 months now and am happy with it. The new Canopus ADVC-100 also looks very good, but slightly more expensive.
