  1. Hello everyone,

My gf is doing a presentation and I need to record it (to post on youtube). I want to be unobtrusive so i'll need to stay a little distance from her. I want to get better audio so I bought 2 mics from a pc store today to get them closer to with using a female/male mini audio cable.. I tested them and neither work. I tested them without using the extension cord and just the regular phone mic worked. I used the one with the long cable in the picture and extended it as far as it would go. I recorded and brought the mic up to mouth and nothing. you can hear it slightly but IMO its the phone picking up the slight sound.

I thought this was simple to do from the videos on youtube that I saw. I even tried using the included headset/mic they include with the phone and still nothing. I tried this with 2 phones and the same outcome. what am I doing wrong?

If she is going to be at a podium with a microphone....just get a feed off of that....record it with something else, then sync up the audio later in an editor.

I just want better audio then using the phone mic. she doesnt want the mic on her. I dont know what to do. Ive been planning this for a few days and I just dont know why they arent working.

The problem is, the iPhone can’t accept regular microphones that use the standard 3.5mm jack.To solve the iPhone’s microphone incompatibility problem, you’ll need to buy a http://www.kvconnection.com/product-p/km-iphone-mic.htm or
