Does anyone know how to change the regional coding for the SONIQ PB100 portable player?

You may have to talk to the manufacturer, if you can. Outside of Australia the answer to your question would be that BluRay unlock codes are very rare and portables (even DVD portables) almost never can be unlocked, so being able to unlock a BluRay portable is going to be almost impossible. However sometimes manufacturers make unlock codes for Australian models because Aussie law requires this (or so we have been told). Do note that if you unlock the player that it will almost certainly be for DVD playback only.

Many thanks for the info. It's what soniq (australia) told me. At least I can change the region coding on my normal soniq dvd player by entering a 4 digit code
